merry christmas

All I want for Christmas is two cute little girls. We have had the funnest time with Christmas this year.... and only to get better year after year.

Little Sister has helped decorate our tree (again, and again) but has seemed to really enjoy herself.

The joys of Big Sister were helping to decorate the packages.... with ghosts that say boo & Happy Halloween. A couple of holidays late, but still festive. She also loved taking packages around to the neighbors. She even got some of her presents under the tree to give away.
Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night.

birthday girl

I can't believe that my little baby is already turning ONE. She has been quite the little joy at our house. It is so much fun with 2 little girls that absolutely adore one another.... I hope that this lasts through the teen years too.

Little Sis is so fun & loves to laugh & be chased, especially up the stairs. She has been walking for the past 6 weeks & running for the past 5 weeks and 5 days. She wants to be big just like her sister and has the determination that she just might try to be bigger one day.

We love our Little Sister and am so glad that she is in our family..... now if she would just start sleeping through the night again.

happy birthday

HaPpY BirTHdaY!! Mo Mo!!

Happy birthday to a wonderful talented neice. We love you. Big Sister loves to come and stay at your house and play with you.
We think that you are so talented. You dance, you play softball, basketball and volleyball... and of course you can text unlike no other (unless you are at the dinner table)
Thanks for being so cute.
We love you!!!

tamale day

After months of begging Ellie to teach us how to make homemade tamales.... she finally gave in.

We - Delores, Andrea, Michelle, Liz, myself & Ellie brought everything in our kitchen and met at 10 am and worked until 8 pm for 5 dozen tamales. We cooked meat, we made rue, we mixed masa, we mixed masa, and we were still mixing our masa.... especially Delores, and then we finally rolled our tamales. I will say that the first ones were quite thin & nice... towards the end the tamales became bigger and bigger and had more meat in them. I like to think of them as a big girl tamale.
It was a lot of work, but well worth it. We had a ton of fun & will be eating tamales for quite a while.

Thanks Ellie!!!!

Happy RT week

Happy RT week to all my fellow rad techs!!! We are having our own pity party at work, but after a week of planning & the radiologists chipping in (and we only had to ask once) we had a wonderful Cafe Rio lunch!

princess polka dot

here is the story.... I am getting ready to bathe Little Sister and I notice these 3 little "blisters" on the side of her tummy & one dot on her cheek. - the night before Halloween.
Therefore instead of going to work and showing off our cute halloween outfits, we went to the doctor - to get the diagnosis of CHICKEN POX!!!!!! It is was so funny they brought an intern in to see them since he had never seen the chicken pox, and then asked us if "we could leave out the side door!!"
Remember the olden days when everyone got chicken pox!! Now days they immunize at 12 months and then at kindergarten
This weekend has been hard for our entire house - starting with the mom & dad!! Little Sister has had a fever and of course feels horrible all night long!! I think that we are finally feeling better.... now for the recovery period!!

sunday drive

We decided to take a little family drive on Sunday and it was wonderful. We went up to the Alpine Loop - just as the leaves were finishing changing. Since we waited so long in the year we just caught the end of the color changes - but still so worthwhile.
