merry christmas

All I want for Christmas is two cute little girls. We have had the funnest time with Christmas this year.... and only to get better year after year.

Little Sister has helped decorate our tree (again, and again) but has seemed to really enjoy herself.

The joys of Big Sister were helping to decorate the packages.... with ghosts that say boo & Happy Halloween. A couple of holidays late, but still festive. She also loved taking packages around to the neighbors. She even got some of her presents under the tree to give away.
Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night.

birthday girl

I can't believe that my little baby is already turning ONE. She has been quite the little joy at our house. It is so much fun with 2 little girls that absolutely adore one another.... I hope that this lasts through the teen years too.

Little Sis is so fun & loves to laugh & be chased, especially up the stairs. She has been walking for the past 6 weeks & running for the past 5 weeks and 5 days. She wants to be big just like her sister and has the determination that she just might try to be bigger one day.

We love our Little Sister and am so glad that she is in our family..... now if she would just start sleeping through the night again.

happy birthday

HaPpY BirTHdaY!! Mo Mo!!

Happy birthday to a wonderful talented neice. We love you. Big Sister loves to come and stay at your house and play with you.
We think that you are so talented. You dance, you play softball, basketball and volleyball... and of course you can text unlike no other (unless you are at the dinner table)
Thanks for being so cute.
We love you!!!

tamale day

After months of begging Ellie to teach us how to make homemade tamales.... she finally gave in.

We - Delores, Andrea, Michelle, Liz, myself & Ellie brought everything in our kitchen and met at 10 am and worked until 8 pm for 5 dozen tamales. We cooked meat, we made rue, we mixed masa, we mixed masa, and we were still mixing our masa.... especially Delores, and then we finally rolled our tamales. I will say that the first ones were quite thin & nice... towards the end the tamales became bigger and bigger and had more meat in them. I like to think of them as a big girl tamale.
It was a lot of work, but well worth it. We had a ton of fun & will be eating tamales for quite a while.

Thanks Ellie!!!!

Happy RT week

Happy RT week to all my fellow rad techs!!! We are having our own pity party at work, but after a week of planning & the radiologists chipping in (and we only had to ask once) we had a wonderful Cafe Rio lunch!

princess polka dot

here is the story.... I am getting ready to bathe Little Sister and I notice these 3 little "blisters" on the side of her tummy & one dot on her cheek. - the night before Halloween.
Therefore instead of going to work and showing off our cute halloween outfits, we went to the doctor - to get the diagnosis of CHICKEN POX!!!!!! It is was so funny they brought an intern in to see them since he had never seen the chicken pox, and then asked us if "we could leave out the side door!!"
Remember the olden days when everyone got chicken pox!! Now days they immunize at 12 months and then at kindergarten
This weekend has been hard for our entire house - starting with the mom & dad!! Little Sister has had a fever and of course feels horrible all night long!! I think that we are finally feeling better.... now for the recovery period!!

sunday drive

We decided to take a little family drive on Sunday and it was wonderful. We went up to the Alpine Loop - just as the leaves were finishing changing. Since we waited so long in the year we just caught the end of the color changes - but still so worthwhile.

Happy Halloween

One little, two little, three little witches flying over haystacks jumping over ditches.
Flying down moon beams without any hitches.
Hi Ho Halloween is here!

wanted.....

Here is a picture of what used to be my snowblower. Can you believe that someone STOLE it out of the back of our truck on State Street and in the midst of the day???!!! You have got to be kidding!!! What is this world coming to.
Hmmm.... what to buy. sod for our yard or a new snowblower for the winter. Is grass really all that important?
no.... but I am still bitter!!!! did I mention that we had just (about 15 minutes prior) paid $165.00 for getting it tuned up!!!! BITTER!!!

apple back

Big Sister is potty trained!!!! We still have our little accidents, but we are doing wonderful. Big Sis has been doing great for the past month for her mom.... but not for anyone else. Horribly, we FORGOT the ENTIRE bag of clothes and diapers when we went on vacation last week..... that got me thinking that I was only going to buy diapers for Little Sis & panties for her. (don't worry, Big sis is so skinny that they can wear each others)
That is all we needed. She loves them and reminds me all the time..
apple back. the apple on the tag goes in the back. duh.
Just for the record, we used the Potty Watch & it was wonderful for the first little while... and then it was just another toy. A fun one, but not as effective.

Ady-cakes

LIttle sister is now 5 months and cute turning cuter & cuter every day.
I always wanted to use my punch bowl for a baby picture - yes, I hauled it down to the mall with 2 kids, a stroller, clothes, ... and most important daddy is there to help hold it all.

smiles & giggles

Big Sister is now 2 & smiling all the time!!
Little Sister was there just to hang out and proved that she could be content & not smile for her pictures.

sisters

Big Sister loves her little sister and will kiss her as many times as she can sneak in throughout the day. Little Sister is a smart little baby and will keep her eye on Big Sister at all times.... some of those kisses can be pretty messy!!

Kitty Kat

smilin'

I have one of the happiest babies in the world. All you have to do is smile at Adyson & she will smile, and smile, & coo & talk to you.
She loves attention... which is just fine because I love giving it to her.
Here she is at 3 1/2 months old.

back again

Well, I have finally figured out that I can work full time, be a mother, and be organized. ??? It has taken a couple of months, but I have a routine (if you can call it that ) and a wonderful husband. Jeff is great!!! He has picked up and done more than any girl can expect. And is paid daily by smiles of his little girls. Big Sister thinks that her mom is great, but her daddy rocks her world!!
Thanks so much Jeff!!

getting ready

"go and get your shoes on so that we can hurry and go"
And of course, these are the shoes that she picked out. Big Sister loves to wear any of my shoes around... especially the red ones.

And of course, what girl can leave the house without her lipstick on???

this little piggy

this little piggy went to market..... actually this little piggy stayed home to take a nap, along with the other nine little piggys.
Little Sister is a big fan of sleeping. Just like her Momma & everyone in the house likes that!! Adyson is also a big fan of being cuddled. Just like here Momma!!!
She is a great little baby, unless she is mad! But thank goodness we don't get too mad too often!!

shhhhh....

Being a mom is great, and Little Sister makes it pretty easy to do. I can't believe that she is one month old tomorrow and still so tiny.

priceless

..............pricless.
Big Sister is quite fond of her new little sister. She LOVES to kiss her forehead all day long. I am sure that it will always stay this way, right??

Little Sister

Lullabies & laughter
Cuddles & curls
We are thrilled to announce the birth
of our new little girl

Little Sister

Little Sister came with the quickest of ease. I hope that she is always this easy going in life.
There is nothing better than your small child cuddled up to your chest. It really does make everything in life worth it!
Both my girls the sunshine in my life. They are miracles in the making. I am proud to be a mom to both of these little angels.
